Load handler emergency lowering
WARNING!
Lowering the load handler can result in injuries
The hazardous area is defined as the area in which people are at risk from the mast,
the load handler or the load. This also includes areas which can be reached by
falling loads or lowering operating equipment.
u
Instruct other people to move out of the hazardous area of the truck during
emergency lowering.
u
Do not stand underneath a raised load handler.
u
If the load handler is lowered with the emergency lowering device below it, the
operator must be in a safe area to avoid any danger.
u
Do not activate emergency lowering of the load handler when the load handler is
in the rack.
u
Report any defects immediately to your supervisor.
u
Mark defective truck and take out of service.
u
Do not return the industrial truck to service until you have identified and rectified
the fault.
