4.10 Installing inside an open
fi
replace
The Jøtul I 520 is designed to be placed inside a pre-existing, code-compliant masonry
fi
replace. The
fi
replace must satisfy the
requirements regarding installation against combustible materials. It is important that the convection air openings are su
ffi
ciently
large (500 / 750 cm2) to utilize the heat emission from the product.
There are several options for installation in hearths/open
fi
replaces. Here are three options:
1) Placed in a corner with plenty of space
The illustration shows the Jøtul I 520 FR (glass in the door and on the right-hand side). In this example, a sheet metal grid is used
(optional - item no. 50045748) to
fi
ll the space between the insert and the
fi
replace.
