INSTALLING THE CLADDING: PRECAUTIONS
• Protection of domestic walls
The fireplace must be installed near the non-flammable walls.
Installation of the fireplace near inflammable walls is only allowed if you
maintain the distances indicated below, or if suitable protection is interposed. The surfaces such as the flooring, ceiling and walls of the home
in the vicinity of the fireplace must be protected to prevent overheating. Insulating panels must be overlapped to avoid leaking. The sizes and
types of insulation depend on the type of surface being protected.
• Insulation type
Insulation can be made of various materials: mineral fibre, ceramic fibre, rock wool, and can come in different forms: sheets, mattresses. Its
specific weight must be equal or greater than 245 kg/m
3
with a temperature threshold of about 1000°C; and thermal conductivity of l (400°C) <=
0,1 W/m
3
. This material must be coded “AGI Q132” or “DIN 18895”.
• Beam
The beam can be fitted in front of the fireplace cladding maintaining a distance of at least 10 mm so that the space between it and the fireplace
does not create accumulation of heat. The beam must not be inside the fireplace irradiation field (see
F
ig
. 1
)
To allow for boiler dilation, the cladding must always be detached from the 2-3 mm steel fireplace.
NOTE
SAFETY DISTANCES FROM SURROUNDING FLAMMABLE
MATERIALS
In
F
ig
. 2
are shown the safety distances from surrounding flammable
materials applicable to all installation types available:
1. Flammable Wall
2.
Flammable floor
3. Flammable ceiling
4.
Fireplace cladding in not flammable material.
Installation distances from flammable materials:
A
Minimum air distance from inflammable side wale:
800 mm
B
Minimum air distance from inflammable rear wall:
100 mm
C
Minimum air distance from inflammable ceiling
800 mm
R
Frontal air distance from inflammable material:
2000 mm
If the fireplace is installed on a flammable
material, it is necessary to provide a “floor-saver” plate
(5) made of not flammable material, which must be at
least 50 cm deep and as large as the door of the
fireplace.
WARNING
The cladding of the fireplace must be done
by not flammable material.
