3. Do not allow the battery pack or charger to overheat. If
they feel warm, allow them to cool down.
4. Charge battery above 32°F/0°C.
5. Keep the ventilation slots on the charger clear.
6. Do not allow small metal items of material such as steel
wool, aluminum foil or other foreign particles to get into
the charger.
7. Unplug the charger before cleaning.
8. Always unplug the charger after charging a battery.
9. Do not leave the battery pack in the sun or in a very
warm or cold environments for extended periods of time.
10. Do not try to connect two chargers together.
If the outer case is broken and it leaks fluid or gets in
your eyes or gets on your skin:
1. If leakage gets in your eyes, do not rub your eyes. Rinse
eyes thoroughly with water and get immediate medical
help.
2. If it gets on your skin, use soap and water to wash
immediately.
3. Neutralize the area with lemon juice or vinegar.
Caution:
Do not use solvents, detergents or other liquids to clean
the battery. It may cause damage or electrical shock.
Battery Disposal:
1. The Lithium Ion battery contains corrosive materials
which are toxic and must be disposed of properly.
2. All toxic materials must be disposed of in a specific
manner to prevent contamination of the environment.
3. To dispose of a Lithium Ion battery, you must contact
your local Environmental Protection Agency for
information and specific instructions.
4. You must take the battery to a local recycling and/or
disposal center, certified for Lithium Ion disposal.
Battery
Caution:
1. If the battery case breaks or cracks, with or without
leaks, do not recharge or try to use it. Dispose of the
battery properly and replace with a new battery pack.
2. If your battery does crack or break, to avoid injury, risk of
fire, explosion, electric shock or danger to the
environment do the following:
a. Cover battery’s terminals with heavy duty
adhesive tape.
b. Do not attempt to remove or destroy any of the
battery pack components.
c.
Do not attempt to open the battery pack in any
way.
d. If your battery develops a leak, the released
electrolytes are corrosive and toxic. Do not get
the solution in your eyes or on your skin, and do
not swallow it.
e. Do not place the battery in your regular
household trash.
f.
Do not incinerate the battery.
g. Do not place the battery where it will become
part of any landfill or municipal solid waste
stream.
h. Take it to a certified recycling or disposal
center.
FCC Compliance:
The charger complies with Part 15 of the FCC radio
frequency regulations.
The ice blades are very sharp. Use extreme caution when
drilling a hole or replacing the blades. Put the blade guard on
after each use.
Avoid mishandling and abuse of your Jiffy® Power Ice Drill.
Handle it with care, as any rough treatment can cause damage
to your Jiffy® Power Ice Drill or it can cause a malfunction.
Should the unit stop while drilling, do not attempt to restart it
while the drill bit is in the hole you are drilling.
Never modify your Jiffy® Power Ice Drill in any way. Only
Jiffy® Ice Drills and accessories supplied by Feldmann
Engineering or expressly approved by Feldmann Engineering
for use with your Jiffy® Power Ice Drill are authorized for
connection and use. The use of non-Jiffy® or unauthorized
components may cause damage or injury and will void the
warranty.
Check the tightness of screws, nuts, and bolts at regular
intervals and re-tighten if necessary.
Always keep hands, feet, hair, drawstrings, scarves, hats and
loose clothing away from any moving parts on the unit.
For safe operation, wear cleated, spiked shoes, or ice
creepers when using your Jiffy® Power Ice Drill. You will find it
easier to control the rotational torque as you drill holes in the
ice.
Do not allow children to operate your Jiffy® Power Ice Drill at
any time. Do not allow adults to operate your Jiffy® Power Ice
Drill without proper operational instructions, including all safety
precautions.
Do not lend or rent your Jiffy® Power Ice Drill without
providing the owner’s manual. Be sure that anyone who uses
your Jiffy® Power Ice Drill understands the information and
operating procedures and safety precautions contained in this
manual.
Give your complete and undivided attention to the proper
operation of your Jiffy® Power Ice Drill. To operate it properly,
you must be in good physical condition and mental health and
not under the influence of any substance (alcohol, drugs, etc.)
which might impair vision, dexterity or judgment.

Using your Jiffy® Power Ice Drill may be strenuous. If you
have any health condition that may be aggravated by
strenuous activity, check with your doctor before operating
your Jiffy® Power Ice Drill.
