If contact between the cross-cutting fence and
the saw blade cannot be avoided, the part close
to the saw blade shall be made of a material
which will not disintegrate or cause the saw
blade to disintegrate should the fence come into
contact with the moving saw blade e.g.
aluminium, wood or plastic. The end of the cross-cutting
fence is made of plastic.

The minimum height of the guiding surface of
the fence shall be 30 mm or the maximum depth
of cut, whichever is the smaller. The height of the guiding
surface of the fence is 60
mm for TS-315A, TS-
315AE, TS-315E, 50mm for
TS-315D, TS-315G, TS-
315B, TS-315BE, TS-315F.

Where the fence passes beneath the saw blade
top guard the maximum height of the fence shall
not exceed 12mm. The measured height of the
end stop which can pass
beneath the saw blade top
guard is 8mm for TS-315A,
TS-315AE, TS-315E and
11.9mm for other models.

18.1.106 Flanges

The outer-diameter of the contact surface shall
be not less than 0,2 times the blade diameter.
The overlap of the clamping area of the two
flanges shall be at least 1,5 mm wide as
specified in Figure Z113. Outer-diameter is 80mm for
inner and outer flange.

Precautions shall be taken to ensure that the
saw blade does not come loose during start-up,
running, during run-down or during braking. The saw blade is pressed
by inner and outer flange
and a screw which has a
reverse thread is used to fix
the flanges in position.

18.1.107 Chip outlet
Chip outlet The construction of the chip ejection
opening shall be such that ejected particles will

blade through the outlet opening.
