8.2 LIMESCALE REMOVAL
• Limescale should be removed from the hot water tank regularly, to avoid
the build-up of limescale deposits.
Carry out the procedure at least once every 6 months, or when the hot
water does not flow smoothly, depending on the hardness of the mains
water.
1) L’interruttore rosso S deve essere mantenuto spento (posizione 0), per
tutta la durata del processo di decalcificazione.
1) The red switch S must be turned off (at 0) during the entire scale removal
process.
2) Let at least 8 litres of water flow out of the hot water outlet to cool down
the hot circuit.
3) Turn off the main tap R and leave the mains water tube T connected;
let more water flow out of the hot water outlet to fully depressurize the
circuit.
4) Turn off the machine at the green main switch G.
5) Prepare two tubes M with shut-off valve V and 1/4 male coupling.
6) Now, with the machine shut down, the circuit cooled down and the mains
turned off, undo the two caps at the bottom and quickly connect the two
tubes M with the two valves V closed.
Use a scale removal solution intended for use with food. Prepare
at least 10 litres of solution, at the concentration stated on the
product sheet.
When you have prepared the solution, follow the exact
instructions below.
Maintenance operations should be carried out by a qualified professional.
Die Wartungsarbeiten dürfen nur durch Fachpersonal durchgeführt werden.

7) Connect pump P, open the valves V and start pump P, cleaning with at
least 10 litres of the solution you have prepared (Fig. 18). Let the solution
circulate several times according to the amount of scale formed.
8) When the scale is removed, close the valves V and disconnect only pump P,
leaving the two tubes M connected with the valves V closed. The prepared
solution is contained in the tank.
9) Open the main tap R, turn the machine back on again at the green switch
G, but do not turn on the redswitch S.
10) Using the hot water controls, let at least 15 litres of mains water flow
through the hydraulic circuit to give it a thorough rinse.
11) Close the main tap R, turn off the machine, open the two valves V and
empty the tank via the tubes M. This may take some time (Fig. 19).
12) Disconnect the two tubes M and seal them with the caps; apply the caps
gently to avoid damaging the O-rings.
13) Open the main tap R, turn on the machine at the switch G and fill the hot
water tank again with a constant flow of water.
14) It is possible to turn the red switch S on again (to 1) to restore the he
-
ating cycles.
