wireless router. Unlike using a range extender which halves your bandwidth, an access point
enables data flows in both receive and transmit directions simultaneously to provide fast
and reliable wireless connections.
Follow the steps below to configure your JCG router as an access point:
1.
Ingore JCG router’s WAN port
Since JCG router does not feature a native AP mode, you will have to avoid using
its WAN port at all because it will make the router automatically function as a router
and stop functioning as an access point.
2.
Determine the range of the IP addresses of your existing router
Search for
cmd
in the Start Menu to run Command Prompt window. Type
ipconfig
then press Enter. Locate the IP address of your existing router at the right of “Default
Gateway”.
