IPv6
JCG AC836 router supports the following IPv6 internet connection types:
Static IP
connection, DHCPv6, Tunneling Connection (6RD), Tunneling Connection (DS-Lite)

Get internet connection information
(WAN IPv6 address, IPv6 prefix length, default
IPv6 gateway, primary DNS server address, secondary DNS server address)
from your
ISP and fill in information as required by different connection types.
Static IP connection
1.
Choose
Static IP connection
from the
IPv6 Operation Mode
drop-down list.
2.
Enter WAN IPv6 Address assigned by your ISP.
3.
Enter IPv6 subnet prefix length assigned by your ISP, typically 64.
4.
Enter your ISP’s default gateway.
5.
Click
“Save/Apply”.
6.
Wait for the router to reboot and apply your settings.
7.
Click
“Status
→
Network Status”
to check whether you have successfully set up an
IPv6 connection.
DHCPv6
1.
Choose
DHCPv6
from the
IPv6 Operation Mode
drop-down list.
2.
Click
“Save/Apply”.
3.
Wait for the router to reboot and apply your settings.
4.
Click
“Status
→
Network Status”
to check whether you have successfully set
up an IPv6 connection.
