Fuel Sender - Removal and Replacement

Removal
1 Disconnect the battery before commencing any work
on the fuel tank.
2 Drain the fuel tank into a suitable receptacle.
3 Disconnect the wiring,

4 Disconnect and plug the hoses.
5 Remove the 6 off screws and lift out the fuel sender.
6 Remove the gasket and clean the tank surface
beneath the sender cover.
Replacement
1 Check that the fuel tank is empty and the battery is
disconnected.
2 Fit a new gasket to the cover of the fuel sender.
3 Tighten down the cover of the fuel sender using 6 off
screws.
4 Reconnect the wiring and hoses.
5 Reconnect the battery.
6 Bleed the fuel system, see Section 3 - Routine
Maintenance .
