De-winterize the Frigidaire Residential Refrigerator:
When preparing the camper for use again in the spring, purge all antifreeze out of the
water lines of the RV then:
1. Turn ON the water supply valve to the refrigerator.
2.

3. Fill the fresh water tank, or attach pressurized water to the utility center panel.
4. Turn on water to the RV either with the pump or pressurized water.
5. Turn refrigerator power ON.
6. Run the water dispenser on the refrigerator until water runs steadily from it.
7. Remove the ice cube bin, hold the icemaker power switch in the ON position for 15
VHFRQGV,QPLQXWHVDQGVHFRQGVZDWHUVKRXOGFRPHRXWRIWKHLFHPDNHU¿OOSRUW
8. Run a batch of ice cubes to make sure the icemaker is working properly.
Winterize the Samsung Residential Refrigerator:
Blow out water line – do not use antifreeze in this refrigerator.

2. Open the refrigerator water supply valve (typically in the
kitchen island)
3. Operate the water dispenser on the refrigerator and hold
a cup under the dispenser to catch the water. Operate the
dispenser until only air is coming out.
4. Open the freezer and remove the ice cube bin by pressing
the lever (top photo) at the side of the icemaker and pulling the
tray out. Discard any ice or water in the bin.
5. Find the Test Switch on the icemaker (photo at right). Press and
hold this button for 8 seconds to initiate a test cycle which will
take about 5 minutes to run.
6. As the test cycle runs, the air should blow any water out of the
icemaker. When the test cycle is done, the icemaker is reset.
Turn power OFF to the refrigerator.
7. Replace the ice cube bin
8. Turn OFF the water supply valve at the kitchen island.
9. Prop open the doors to prevent odors and mildew.

5. Turn refrigerator power ON.
6. Run the water dispenser on the refrigerator until water runs steadily from it.
7. Icemaker should be ready to make ice after winterizing was completed. If it does not
make ice, press and hold the Test Switch for 8 seconds, test cycle begins and runs for 5
minutes, and then the icemaker should work properly.
IMPORTANT: Do not reset the icemaker more than one time in a 24 hour period.
