5050 & 5100 OWNER MANUAL
14. Continue unloading until mixing chamber is empty or desired amount of mixed ration has been
unloaded.
Important: To completely empty the mixer of all commodities it may be necessary to start and stop
the auger multiple times. This will dislodge the feed that is resting on the auger flights,
and allow the auger to unload the feed. DO NOT start and stop the auger rapidly as this
will cause unnecessary strain on the hydraulic system!
15. Stopping:
a. Stop forward motion.
b. Close the unloading door (on CE units, also release the foot safety switch).
c. Slow the engine to low idle.
d. Turn the auger ‘off’ as outlined in
Section 14
e. Stop the engine if required (and block wheels or apply parking brake if equipped).
16. Emergency Stopping:
If an emergency should arise, turn the auger ‘off’, stop forward motion and stop the engine
immediately.
