5050 & 5100 OWNER MANUAL
Figure 50 - 5100 Stationary Hydraulic Oil Filter Locations

Rotating the element counterclockwise by hand will release the element
from the filter head. Likewise, rotating the element clockwise will tighten it.

NOTE – Hydraulic fittings and hoses in this figure have been removed for clarity.
28.4 Maintaining the Breather
Each 5050 or 5100 hydraulic oil reservoir is designed with a breather on the top to vent the internal
system pressure to atmosphere. The breather must be kept free of contaminants and debris to
function properly. Remove any debris that falls on or near the breather to allow free flow of air for
venting the internal system pressure to atmosphere.
Replace the breather every 12 MONTHS, or
if the breather has become plugged
.
Important: Oil is added to the hydraulic system through the breather cap port (5050 models). Always
clean around the breather cap prior to removing it and adding oil.
Important: When spraying water to clean the mixer, protect the breather to avoid contamination.

ENGINE OR ELECTRIC MOTOR MAINTENANCE
All 5050 and 5100 models (except the 5050 skid steer) are supplied with an onboard power source
(internal combustion engine or electric motor). Please see the maintenance manual supplied by the
power equipment manufacturer for maintenance information and schedules.
NOTE – For machines equipped with an internal combustion engine, be sure to keep the cooling
air intake clean of debris, otherwise the engine may overheat and engine damage could occur!
