Power Troubleshooting
This is more advanced troubleshooting to confirm that the tablet and all accessories are
working properly. This methodology starts from troubleshooting from the power source to
tablet step by step.
1. Check the power source first: While using a multimeter, check the voltage of
power source. If you are using a micro-USB cable and wall charger, 5V is the
standard for charging. A device powered by a Power Harness must be powered
by at least 12V at the power source.
2. Check the voltage and current output using an inline tester. Connect the inline
tester male USB port into either a computer of wall charge, and the female USB
port with the micro-USB connected to the device. Please see following image.
Note: an inline tester can be purchased at a variety of websites such as Amazon,
CDW, and Home Depot for a low cost.

3. You can also use a female-to-micro-USB adapter to test a power harness. Attach
the adapter to the male USB port of the inline tester and your device’s micro-USB
cable to the inline tester’s female USB port. (
