Putting Smart in standby mode
Standby mode is when the Smart has not completely shut down, and can easily be started up again.
Put the device in standby mode if you are not using the device for a short period of time. The device consumes less power than if it was
still switched on. Shut down the device if you are not using it for a longer period of time.
Perform one of the following actions:
•
Select
Tools > Smart3 > Standby mode
.
•
Press the on/off button.

Shutting down the Smart
If you are not using the Smart for a longer period of time, then it is best to shut down the Smart.
Perform one of the following actions:

Select
Tools > Smart3 > Shut down
.
•
Press and hold the on/off button for at least 4 seconds.
