SETTING YOUR WATCH CORRECTLY
To set your watch correctly, proceed as follows:
– Always wind the watch fully, to the point at which you
feel a distinct resistance in the crown.
– Pull out the crown to position 1.
– Check the Internet to find out the date of the last full
moon. Set the date display to that date by turning the
crown to the left.
– Turn the crown to the right to advance the moon
phase display until the full moon can be seen in the
dial opening at “12 o’clock”.
– Now make as many corrections, both to the right and
to the left, as correspond to the difference in the num­
ber of days between yesterday’s date and the date
of the last full moon. The watch should now display
yesterday’s date and yesterday’s moon phase.
– Pull out the crown to position 2. This will stop the
movement. To set the time accur ately to the second,
it is best to stop the movement as the seconds hand
passes 60.
– Turn the hands forwards until the date display and
the moon phase display change to today’s date. The
hands will now be positioned between 12 midnight
and 1 a.m.
– Now turn the hands forwards beyond the approxi­
mate time. Then move them backwards to the correct
