b) Press the stationary seal ring into its seat.
Make sure that the highly polished surface is facing out.
2. Clean the seal face on the shaft.
3. Fit the mechanical seal:
a) Apply oil to the seal surface.
b) Lubricate the shaft with grease.
c) Fit the rotating seal unit to the shaft using the mounting tool.
