Sensor and auxiliary encoder efficiency test
Here is a quick way to check the efficiency of the sensors and the auxiliary encoder zero: start the
loom in MANUAL mode and get it to make
three consecutive turns in slow motion
. If there are
no alarms, it means that the sensors and the auxiliary encoder are working properly. Otherwise
the following errors occur:
- errors
13344 to 13351
: indicating a sensor malfunction: check that the sensor/flag gap and the
sensor cabling are correct; you can reset these errors at the same time by jogging the loom in
slow motion.
- error
13341
: indicating that the auxiliary encoder turns in the wrong direction; this error may
appear without reason on first start-up: reset it by jogging the loom in slow motion and then turn
the loom over several times in slow motion; if error 13341 appears again, it means that there
are mistakes in the cabling of channels A, /A, B, /B on the auxiliary encoder. The value for the
auxiliary encoder is shown in the main Hi Drive page: this can help you discover the type of
problem.
- error
13342
: no auxiliary encoder zero; also this error can be reset by jogging the loom in slow
motion. If error 13342 reappears after several more turns in slow motion, you will need to
check the auxiliary encoder zero circuit.
NB: this test guarantees that the sensors are working correctly, but does not guarantee
that the flags have been adjusted properly.
