Replacement of the belt
Remove 4 bolts from gear box mount,1, on right side.
Loosen lock nut of tension rod,2, and remove tension
spring.
Remove belt and install a new belt referring to illustration
for belt routing.
Make sure belt is seated properly in groove of each pul-
ley. Apply tension to belt by adjusting belt tension rod to
proper tension.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to tighten the bolts (M10) of the
gear box mount.
Re-install all the belt covers.
Tighten lock nut of tension rod securely to
prevent loss of tension.
Be sure to use the following belt size.

HOW TO JACK UP
a. Turn on the engine, and raise the mower deck to its
maximum.
b. Stop the engine, and apply the parking brake.
c. Set the gauge wheel to the minimum trimming posi-
tion. Set the height adjust dial to the maximum trim-
ming position.
d. Lower the mower deck and remove the lift link pin at
the rear end,1.
e. Open the front cover,3.

(1) Rear lift link pin
(2) Mower deck
(3) Front cover
