Async port open error.

Meaning:

Cannot open serial port specified.

Solutions:

Verify serial port exists and card securely seated on PC Bus.

E_COM_A_TIMEOUT

Communications read timeout.

Meaning:

Program could not read data from communication device in

predetermined amount of time.

Solutions:

Verify cabling securely connected from PC to 498X

Controller (connected to proper PC serial port, and Physical

Port).

Verify host port speed matches Speed Configuration or Dip

Switch Selection.

Meaning:

Bad serial port or cable.

Solutions:

Replace components to isolate problem.

E_COM_A_CRC

Upload data CRC error.

Meaning:

Program received invalid data from Controller.

Solutions:

Restart communication program.

Check cables and connections.

Lower communication speed (such as from 19.2 KB per
