Keyboard wedge—Emulating special
keyboard keys
Interpreting and transmitting special keyboard keys
Different symbologies support different character formats. The MicroBar NX transmission
format is different according to the symbologies used (

and MicroBar NX transmission format).
Only symbologies supporting the full ASCII character set allow the
encoding of certain special keyboard keys such as <Return> and
<Tab>.
No symbologies support the encoding of other function keys such as
<PF1> and <PageDown>.
The Special keys interpretation codes provided below allow you to
interpret different Code 39 character combinations as special
keyboard keys.
The Special keys transmission codes allow you to emulate Alt
character transmission sequences for PC keyboard wedge
applications.
