INTRODUCTION
1. Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of a seat shell by Interco!
ORTHOLIGHT is designed for children and adolescents who are unable to take
up or maintain a seating position independently and whose movement is reduced
to a minimal residual activity, for example because the interaction of the pelvis
and the spinal column presents functional deficits, due to the deformation of
the support apparatus or due to insufficiencies of the musculoskeletal system
In the standard model, the seat width, seat depth and back height have been
determined for a variety of physical sizes from the available DIN tables, stipulated
and accordingly manufactured from aluminum (see
9
 Technical Data)
For customized construction, the seat and the back have been individually manu-
factured for these patients from aluminum according to the patient’s measure-
ments ORTHOLIGHT is an aluminum seat shell consisting of a seat and a back
section, connected by a hinge ORTHOLIGHT is available with removable pad-
ding in multiple sections in the standard design or in a custom-made design
ORTHOLIGHT can be fitted with an optional stepless manual back adjustment
Depending on the patient’s clinical picture and individual requirements, a wide
range of special accessories, such as a variety of immobilization aids, padding
and supports for the head, torso, hips, arms, legs and feet is also available
Using the trapezoidal adapter, ORTHOLIGHT can be combined with our room
undercarriages, ROOMY and ROOMY NEW EDITION, and our street undercar-
riages, SIMPLY, SIMPLY LIGHT and MINY
2. Medical Requirements / Applications
