12. Safety instructions

Always comply with the operating and safety instructions of the undercar-
riage or wheelchair on which your ORTHOLIGHT is mounted�

A transport of the patient in a car in the seat shell ORTHOLIGHT is not
permitted at any time! Use special seats meeting applicable requirements
for transport in a car� The seat shell may only be transported with nobody
sitting in it�

We’d like to point out expressly that persons in seat shells must be se-
cured at any time by means of appropriate holding systems (belts)!

Always pay attention that the seat shell is firmly connected to the under-
frame and secured�

In case of questions related to the ORTHOLIGHT do not hesitate to contact
your specialized dealer or interco�

Perform a regular visual inspection of all ORTHOLIGHT connections�
If doubts occur, ask your specialized dealer�

Attachments of accessories or alterations to ORTHOLIGHT performed by
others than the manufacturer are not allowed and can result in legal pro-
ceedings, if they become known� Further to that, the obligation of warranty
by the company of interco GmbH expires and the manufacturer can no
longer be held liable�

ORTHOLIGHT is approved for the intended use only�

Seat units may only be mounted to the underframe in the direction pre-
specified�

Do not use the footboard for entering or leaving the seat system� This
should be tilted off or removed�

To avoid injuries never put your hands between moving parts when per-
forming adjustments�

Suspending bags is not allowed�

Never leave the patient without supervision, not even when he/she is se-
cured by belts�

Should the patient lean out very far or move strongly, the risk of overturn-
ing may occur�

After all adjustment works lock connections which were loosened before
again well�
