Signs and Symptoms of Clogging
In addition to the Clog Detection feature, there are several signs and symptoms of incipient clogging or other
cleanliness issues.
• System appears to be operating normally but no events are being recorded.
• Events are being recorded but, when data is analyzed, blocks of wells appear to be missing.
• After clicking Run , the system takes well over a minute to begin acquiring data.
• At the end of a run, or after clicking Stop , the system takes well over a minute to fully stop.
• When running a sample from a tube, the sample is being consumed at an unusually fast rate and the
sheath pump is running abnormally fast.
Troubleshooting a Clog
The first step in troubleshooting a clog is to contact IntelliCyt tech support so that we may help assess the
seriousness and nature of the problem and recommend remediation steps. These may include performing standard
cleaning procedures such as the Backflush , Unclog , Quick Clean and Long Clean procedures.
