Changing the Bottle Filters
1.
Remove the Sheath, Decontamination Fluid and Cleaning Fluid bottles from the bottle drawer.
2.
Carefully remove the lid from each bottle.
3.
Unscrew the three filters and discard them in the same way as a biological sample.
4.
Locate the new sheath filter. This is the large disk filter. Install the new sheath filter with the printing side
down.
NOTE
Take care to install the sheath filter with the proper flow direction: inlet (printed
side) down.
5.
Locate the Cleaner and Decon bottle filters and install them. These are the small disk filters.

6.
Replace the bottle lids, top of the fluids, and reinstall the bottles in the drawer.

Fluidics maintenance can introduce air into the system. After performing fluidics maintenance it is important to

Signs that Fluidics Maintenance may be Required
Any of the following signs or symptoms may indicate that fluidics maintenance is overdue.
•
In-line sheath filter has visible accumulation of sediment or sludge.
•
System takes a long time (over 30 seconds) to begin acquiring data after pressing

.
•
Daily QC shows increasing CVs on all fluorescence channels.
•
Water Test shows consistently high event counts.
