Changing the Setup of the Port

If there is a check mark is in the box, the port automatically
detects the line-speed and duplexity. If the box is empty, auto-
negotiation is disabled and the port uses the values specified in
Duplex

Speed

Changing duplex mode
To change the port’s duplex mode (when auto-negotiation is dis-
abled):

Click the port you want to change.

Port Mode

Half Duplex
or
Full Duplex

Half
allows either transmission or receipt of the data and
Full
allows both transmission and receipt of the data.

Changing the port speed
To change the speed at which a port can accept data (when auto-ne-
gotiation is disabled):

Click the port you want to change.

Port Mode
