Following installation of
Intel Device View
After installing Intel Device View, restarting your PC and selecting
new, Intel Device View automatically runs the Install Wizard for you
to install your switch.
Managing the switch
To manage a switch which has been assigned an IP address:

Click the
File
>
Open
2 Type the IP address of the switch

Click the checkbox in the
File
>
Open
window
This will allow you to manage the switch in a new Intel Device
View window.
4 Click the
OK
Adding new switches
To add additional new switches (which have not been assigned an IP
address) to Intel Device View, select the New Device icon (or select
File
>
New
). The Install Wizard will guide you through the installa-
tion.
The Install Wizard
The Install Wizard requires that you enter the minimum amount of in-
formation to set up the switch for management by Intel Device View.
The information required includes the MAC address of the switch.
Note
You may need to wait for a few minutes for the switch’s
MAC address to appear in the list.
You can find the MAC address of the switch on a label on the rear
panel.
