Playing Audio CDs with cdplayer
cdplayer
,
CD-ROM audio play utility for DOS, provides full audio support
for
music CDs through either the keyboard or a mouse interface. In order
to use c
dplayer,
you must configure your DOS environment to run with
the Microsoft CD-ROM Extensions
(mscdex)
and you must install a CD-
ROM driver, such as
aspicd
(The DOS/WINDOWS DRIVERS
install
program takes care of this automatically.)
Here is a list of
cdplayer's
audio functions:
·
Play, Pause, Eject, and Stop
·
Fast Forward and Reverse
·
Next Track and Previous Track Selections
·
Time Display, showing Elapsed Time or Remaining Time for either
the current playing track or for the entire CD
·
Stereo, Left Channel, Right Channel, and Mute
·
Sequential or Shuffled Continuous play ordering
cdplayer
requires a VGA (or higher) graphics controller and either a color
or a monochrome display. The program consists of two files which are
automatically copied to your fixed disk when you run the DOS/WINDOWS
DRIVERS
lnstall
program: the executable
file
cdplayer.exe
and a font file
c
dplayer.fon.
