9.17 Time and NTP
BMC supports that system describes instants in time. It’s defined as the number of seconds
that have elapsed since 00:00:00 1970/01/01 and the time can be referenced as timestamp
for other BMC application.
By interface such as WEB UI, users are able to get current system date and time information,
or configure date and time, or synchronize date and time through NTP.

Time Synchronization

BMC will synchronize time with ME after BMC running.
●
BIOS will synchronize time to BMC when beginning of BIOS POST.
●
If NTP is enabled and NTP servers are accessible, BMC will synchronize time with NTP
servers per hour.
Page “BMC Settings->NTP” in Web GUI displays the current BMC time and NTP settings.
