SIP Timer Setting
SIP timers define the transaction expiration timers, retransmission intervals when UDP is used as a
transport, and the lifetime of dynamic TCP connections. The retransmission and expiration timers
correspond to the timers defined in RFC 3261.

Round Trip Time
Estimate (T1)
Estimated time it takes for a packet to make
a round trip from the device to the far end
and back.
Max Retransmit
Interval (T2)
The maximum retransmit interval for non-
INVITE requests and INVITE responses.
Invite Retry Times
The number of times the device will send an
INVITE if no response to initial INVITE.
Non Invite Retry
Times
This field specifies the maximum number of
times that a SIP message other than an
INVITE request gets retransmitted.
According to RFC3261, Non-INVITE requests
are retransmitted at an interval which starts
at T1 and doubles until it hits T2.
