6.1
Checking accu pack charging
6.1.1 Basic
settings
Connect an adjustable ground independent voltage source (with max. current limit) to battery connections J4 1-2 in
parallel with a 5 Ohm / 15W resistance.
Connect a 10 kOhm resistance to the accu pack’s J4 1-2 connections.
Connect a 15V / 2A power supply to the J1 charging adapter connection.
6.1.2
Charging at low battery voltage
Set the accu pack substituting power supply to 7V and turn charging on.
Measure the accu pack and the charger current on J4 1 and J1 1-3-5 (max. 75mA, max 75mA).
6.1.3 Normal
charging
1.
Set the accu pack substituting power supply to 10V and turn charging on. Measure the battery and the charger
current on J4 1 and J1 1-3-5 (1.3 +/- 0.1A, max. 1A).
2.
Set the accu pack substituting power supply to 12.8V and turn charging on. Measure the battery and the charger
current on J4 1 and J1 1-3-5 (min. 650mA, max. 1A).
6.1.4
Charging at low temperatures
Connect 2.7 kOhm resistance to the accu pack connection pins J4 2-4 and turn charging on. Measure the battery and
the charger current on J4 1 and J1 1-3-5 (max. 75mA, max. 75mA).
6.1.5
Charging at high temperatures
Connect 33 kOhm resistance to the accu pack connection pins J4 2-4 and turn charging on.
Measure the accu pack and the charger current on J4 1 and J1 1-3-5 (max. 75mA, max. 75mA).
After the measurement connect a 10 kOhm resistance to the accu pack connection pins J4 2-4.
6.1.6
Charging at high battery voltage
Set the accu pack substituting power supply to 14.6V and turn charging on.
Measure the battery and the charger current on J4 1 and J1 1-3-5 (max. 75mA, max. 75mA).
6.1.7
Current consumption when turned off
Set the accu pack substituting power supply to 14V and turn charging off.
Measure the battery current on J4 1 and J4 3 (max. 100
R
A, max. 100
R
A).
