6.
Change the digital level back to –11 dBFS. The alarm should turn off.
7.
Change the duration to 2 seconds, and change the digital level back to –10 dBFS.
8.
All four channels should reach an alarm condition after two seconds.
Video Alarms Digital
Loss of Carrier
1.
Connect the “Test signal” of the VSG to input A of the VTM-2000.
2.
On the VTM-2000 press the SETUP button and select VIDEO ALARMS DIGITAL\LOSS
OF CARRIER and enable the alarm.
3.
Set the duration to 0 seconds. There should be no alarm.
4.
Remove the signal from input A of the VTM-2000. There should be an alarm
immediately.
5.
Reapply the signal and the alarm should turn off.
6.
Change the duration to two seconds and remove the signal again.
7.
The alarm should occur after two seconds.
Digital Gamut – RGB Gamut Upper
1.
Connect the “Test signal” of the VSG to input A of the VTM-2000.
2.
Set the VSG to 525 75% color bars.
3.
On the VTM-2000, press the SETUP button and select VIDEO ALARMS
DIGITAL\DIGITAL GAMUT\RGB GAMUT UPPER and enable the alarm.
4.
Set the threshold to 700 mV, the sensitivity to 7CES, and the duration to 0 seconds.
There should be no alarms.
5.
Set the threshold to 699 mV, all three components of RGB should immediately alarm.
6.
Change the threshold back to 700 mV. The alarms should turn off.
7.
Set the sensitivity to 6 CES. The B component should alarm immediately, but not the R
or G components.
8.
Change the sensitivity back to 7 CES. The B alarm should turn off.
9.
Set the duration to 2 seconds, and repeat the steps above while keeping in mind that
the alarms will occur after two seconds and not immediately.
