Peak Upper
The Peak Upper Analog alarm occurs when active video falls outside the upper limit for a
period in excess of the duration setting. Peak video includes luminance and/or chrominance.
Peak Lower
The Peak Lower Analog alarm occurs when active video falls outside the lower limit for a
period in excess of the duration setting. Peak video includes luminance and/or chrominance.
VTM-2000 Alarm Testing
Audio Alarms
Peak Audio Analog
1.
Connect the ATS1 to adapter box with banana plugs, and then plug the 37-pin D-sub
to the VTM-2000.
2.
Set the ATS1 output to +4dBu, and then turn the output on. Set the VTM-2000 input C
for analog audio.
3.
On the VTM-2000, press the SETUP button and select AUDIO ALARMS\PEAK
AUDIO\ANALOG and enable all four channels.
4.
Set the analog level to 4 dBu and the duration to 0 seconds. There should be no
alarms.
5.
Set the analog level to 3 dBu. There should be an alarm for all channels immediately.
6.
Change analog level back to 4 dBu. The alarms should turn off.
7.
Change the duration to 2 seconds, and change the analog level back to 3 dBu.
8.
All four channels should alarm after two seconds.
Peak Audio Digital
1.
Connect the “Test Signal” of the VSG to input A of the VTM-2000.
2.
Set the VSGF output level to –10 dB. Set the VTM-2000 input A for Embedded Audio.
3.
On the VTM-2000 press the SETUp button and select AUDIO ALARMS\PEAK
AUDIO\DIGITAL and enable all four channels.
