5.2.5 Installing USB 2.0 External HDD Drive with EZUSB
Our DVR hard-drives can be accessed through USB port by using EZUSB.
By simply attaching it directly to an inner-rack of hard-drive-rack, a normal IDE hard-drive can be transformed into an external hard drive.
Please follow below instruction to read the image from the HDD by using EZUSB.
1. Unlock the removable HDD rack with key provided with DVR.
2. Lift up the handle and take out removable HDD from the DVR.
3. Plug the HDD rack into USB external HDD drive as shown below.
4. Connect the power cable and USB cable. The power cable supplies power to the hard-drive with its 12V adapter, and USB cable
exchanges data between hard-drive and PC. (Power adapter is required since hard-drives require more power than USB cable provides.)
There are two status LEDs on the EZUSB. The green LED in the first picture shows whether the power is connected and the blue LED
blinks when the hard-drive is accessed.
