menu. In the latter case the sensor will be set into its usual operating
state and will work according to the settings of the active configuration data file.
Monitor sensor
In this mode the operation of the sensor can be monitored. The reference image of
the parameterisation is shown in the image field. The detected contours are shown
with each triggering. The result of the evaluation, the number of errors and statisti-
cal information are displayed in the output window.

In this mode text information and the detected contours have to be transmitted from the sen-
sor to the operating program. This takes time. As compared to operation without operating
program the sensor will therefore only achieve a reduced evaluation rate.
For the diagnosis of problems with the evaluation you can change into the
dialogue page via the
button.

Service mode
The service mode functions similarly to the monitor mode. In addition, however, the
image captured by the sensor is shown.
Info
In the service mode the evaluation rate is therefore even slower than in the monitor mode.
Via the
button all relevant information of the active configuration
data file, the reference image, the contour bands, the current image and, if any, the
image of the last FAIL evaluation are stored on the PC in the report file cs_report.html.
You can select and open the service report e.g. via the
menu
item in the
menu. You can enquire about the folder into which the service
report is saved via the
menu item in the
menu. This is
the folder you indicated during program installation.
You have further possibilities in the service mode:
• If the result of the evaluation is FAIL the corresponding image is saved and you can
store this failed image for diagnostic or documentation purposes on your PC via
the button.
• The image captured last can be stored on the PC via the
but-
ton.
• You can reset the counters for the total number of evaluations and the number of
PASS and FAIL evaluations via the
button.
