4.7.4 Single RS-232 Cable (w/o Bracket) 

The single RS-232 cable consists of one serial port connector attached to a serial 

communications cable that is then attached to a D-sub 9 male connector. To install the 

single RS-232 cable, please follow the steps below. 

Step 1: 

Locate the connector

. The location of the RS-232 connector is shown in 

Chapter 4

. 

Step 2: 

Align the connectors.

 Correctly align pin 1 on the cable connector with pin 1 on 

the NANO-945GSE2 serial port connector. 

Step 3: 

Insert the cable connectors

. 

Once the cable connector is properly aligned with 

the serial port connector on the NANO-945GSE2, connect the cable connector 

to the on-board connector. See 

Figure 4-14
