Safety-Related Inputs
The device provides two safety-related inputs. Each safety-related input consists of one control
output DC+ (terminals S11, S21) and one input channel CH+ (terminals S12, S22).
Each control output DC+ provides a nominal voltage of 24 VDC to the connected sensor/device. It
is also used for dynamization
( see page 43 ).
Respect the maximum wire resistance of 500 Ω when determining the cable length. The maximum
wire length between a safety-related input and a sensor/device is 30 m (98.43 ft) if the supply via
the control outputs (terminals S#1) of the safety-related inputs are not used.
Wire the terminals of the safety-related inputs according to the wiring diagram for the application
function ( see page 58 ) to be implemented.
Safety-Related Outputs
The wiring of the safety-related outputs depends on the safety-related function to be implemented.
Install fuses with the rating specified in the chapter Electrical Characteristics
( see page 28 ).
