Harvest Sequence
5. Harvest
With the water pump de-energized, the dump valve and
hot gas valve are energized. The refrigerant gas warms
the evaporator causing the cubes to slide, as a sheet, off
the evaporator and into the storage bin.
After a 30 second water purge, the dump valve is de-
energized and the water inlet valve is energized to fill the
water trough until the float switch(s) are satisfied.
The sliding sheet of cubes opens the ice damper and bin
switch.
The momentary opening and re-closing of the bin switch
terminates the harvest sequence and returns the ice
machine to the freeze sequence.
NOTE: The maximum harvest time is 5 minutes. If the bin
switch does not activate within 5 minutes, 3 consecutive
times, the machine will stop and the power light will flash.
