Remove Parts for Descaling
n
Warning
Disconnect electrical power to the ice machine at
the disconnect/breaker box before proceeding.
1. Remove the Low-Level/Harvest Float Switch and High-
Level/Ice Thickness Float Switch (older models).
• Pull forward on the bottom of the bracket until
clear of the tab, then slide bracket upward to
remove the bracket and float as an assembly.
At this point, the float switches can easily be
descaled. If complete removal is desired, follow the
wires through the bulkhead grommet (exit point) in
the back wall. Continue to follow the wires to the
back of the machine (will need to remove the back
panel) then disconnect the wire connector at the
wire harness.
NOTE: Newer models will only have one float switch for
monitoring the water fill and an ice thickness probe to
initiate harvest.
• Do not disassemble float for descaling - Incorrect
reassembly will result in an ice machine that will not
harvest.
• The high-level/ice thickness float must be mounted to
the front of the water trough.
• The low-level/harvest float must be mounted to the
side of the water trough.
• The wire connectors for each float are different colors
to eliminate any confusion during reassembly.
Blue = Low-Level
/Harvest
Float Switch
Red = High-Level/Ice Thickness Float Switch
