4.5.4  Replacement of Ink Cartridge 

This part applies only for the scanner which has the rear Imprinter. 

 

After  you replace ink cartridge with a new one, make sure you reset the ink  counter  as 
described in  subsection  "

4.6.4  Imprint  Settings

" and confirm the printout  quality is OK by 

running the Imprint Test as described in subsection "

4.6.2 Imprint Test

". 

 

  Preparation of ink cartridge 

1.  Open a package and take out ink cartridge. The ink cartridge is packed in a pair of cases as 

shown in the figure below. 
You need to keep those cases for later use. For details, see "

4.5.6 Storage of Ink Cartridge

". 

 

 

2.  Remove a protective film on the Ink Cartridge. 

Do not touch the part that has been covered by the protective film during installation work. 
Discard the protective film. Do not reuse the protective film.
