Operating Your Computer

Charging the Rechargeable Battery.

Warning:

Do not attempt to charge the battery with any charging

device other than the one recommended by IBM.

The rechargeable battery automatically. begins charging when it is
installed and the AC adapter is plugged in. Charging continues even
when the Model L40 SX is operating.

It takes approximately 10 hours to fully charge the rechargeable
battery if the computer is turned off or operating.

Note:

It is normal for the rechargeable battery to be warm during or
after charging.
