Power Switch
Power Switch: Press this switch to turn
the server on or off.
Attention
Do not turn off the server if a drive
in-use light is on. This might damage
the information stored on a hard disk
or on a diskette.
When the power is on, there is a period
of time during the power-on self-test
(POST), a short test that occurs when the
server is turned on, when a single touch
of the power switch will not turn off the
power. If power must be turned off during
POST, press and hold the power switch
for 5 seconds or disconnect the power
cord. After POST, the power switch
works normally, unless the server is in a
hang condition. If the server is in a hang
condition, press and hold the power
switch until the power turns off.
CD-ROM Eject/Load Button: Push this
button to release a CD from the CD-ROM
drive. See “CD-ROM drive” on page 74
for additional information about the
CD-ROM drive controls and indicators.
Diskette Eject Button: Push this button
to release a diskette from the diskette
drive.
