Configuring CPSW Module Parameters
This section describes the commands needed to configure the CPSW module.
Before beginning the procedures listed below, make sure that:
1. You have installed the CPSW module correctly (see the IBM 8265 Installation Guide, SA33-0441.)
2. You have set up a configuration console and logged on as administrator (see Chapter 2, “Setting-Up
and Using a Configuration Console” on page 9).
Configuration Summary
To configure the CPSW, follow the steps listed below. Each of these steps are described in a subsequent
section of this chapter.
1. Set the CPSW user and administrator passwords.
2. Set the node clock.
3. Set the local CPSW parameters such as:

Switch name
Ÿ Service contact information
Ÿ Console prompt
Ÿ Console timeout
4. Define the ATM address of the CPSW. This resets the ATM subsystem.
5. Optionally enable the sending of alert messages to an SNMP workstation or the local console.
