Before transporting the
motorcycle, it is necessary to
empty
the fuel tank
completely, making sure that
it is completely dry.
During transport, the
motorcycle must be firmly
secured in an upright position
to avoid fuel and oil leaks.

DRAINING THE FUEL
TANK
Keep the fuel tank away from
fires.
Allow some time for the
engine and muffler to cool
down completely.
Fuel vapors are harmful to
human health.
Ensure the area is well
ventilated before proceeding.
Do not inhale fuel vapors.
Do not smoke, nor use naked
flames.

Place the motorcycle on the
stand on f irm and level
ground.

Stop the engine and wait
until it has cooled down.
●
Prepare a container large
enough to hold the fuel in the
tank and place it on the floor
on the left side of the
motorcycle.
●
Remove the fuel tank cap.
●
Drain fuel using a manual
pump or similar system.
Do not damage the fuel
tank assembly (fuel level gauge
accommodated inside the tank).
Refit the fuel tank cap after
draining all fuel.
