Tank valve - function test
The easiest way of testing the tank valve is by the “mouth method”. For hygiene
reasons, fit a suitable hose on the valve.
Test the tank valve by first sucking in the direction towards the tank – the air
should slowly pass. Blow away from the tank and the valve should stop the
flow of air at low pressure.
The tank valve can also be tested with pressure tester 531 03 06-23 or
501 56 27-01. The valve must open at a maximum of 10 kPa in the direction
of the tank. The opening pressure from the direction of the tank, to the
sintered filter, must be about 30 kPa.
Filter - function test
Detach the rubber hose with the sintered
filter. Blow by mouth through the hose
and observe whether air can slowly pass.
Filter replacement
Clogged filters should not be blown
clean but replaced. Use a pin punch to
press the filter out from the hose.
Press in a new filter on a flat surface.
