Anti-vibration
Several service work operations can be facilitated by dividing the machine at
the anti-vibration elements. The following must be done before dividing:
– remove the air filter unit and cylinder cover
– remove the starter
– loosen the cable lug at the ignition module and detach the air line
– pull the fuel lines from the carburettor
– remove the throttle wire at the carburettor
The engine unit is attached to the handle unit at five points with anti-
vibration elements in the form of springs an rubber dampers. A movement
limiter must also be removed.

Dividing the machine
Remove the vibration dampers' outer
screws:
1. Above the filler cap
2. Next to the handle frame
Measures for replacement: Detach the
fuel hose and the throttle wire at the car-
burettor. Remove the outer screws at
dampers 3 and 5, and movement limiter
6. The machine body can then be tilted
forwards. Remove the springs using the
Allen key 4 mm.
3. Below the flywheel
4. Above the ground support
5. Next to the cylinder
6. Remove the screw
Measures for replacement: To replace the
spring 4 and dampers 3 and 5, the outer
screws 1 and 2 must first be removed.
Now remove the outer screws to dampers
3 and 5, and spring 4. Also remove the
movement limiter 6. The machine body
can then be separated from the handle
unit and dampers making the spring
accessible.
To remove the rubber dampers from
the machine body you need the special
tool 502 50 66-02. The U-key is pressed
into the slot of the internal metal washer
and the dampers are unscrewed using the
U-key.
Spring 4 is removed with a Torx
wrench.
