Mount the camshaft on the special tool.

Remove screw

Pull camshaft gear (D off of the camshaft.

Remove bearing

Oil the new bearing

and push it onto the camshaft.

Lubricated with engine oil

Degrease the cone of the camshaft and camshaft gear.

Mount camshaft gear (D.

Mount screw

but do not tighten yet.

Repeat these steps for the second camshaft.

Check the camshaft for damage and wear.

If there is damage or wear:

Change the camshaft.

If the surface of the cams is damaged, check the oil

supply to the camshaft and cam lever.

Check the autodecompressor for damage and wear.

If there is damage or wear:

Change the exhaust camshaft.

Slide the camshaft bearing to the camshaft gear.

Pull lever

away from the camshaft and release it.

If the lever does not return to its original position.

Change the exhaust camshaft.
