Do not fold the empty rear seat with a safety belt
buckled. This could damage the safety belt or the
seat. Unbuckle and return the safety belt to its
stowed position, before folding the seat.
Second Row Center Position — SUT
1. If the child restraint manufacturer recommends that
the top tether be attached, attach the top tether to
the top tether anchor, if equipped. Refer to the
child restraint instructions and the following steps:
1. 1. To access the top tether anchor, raise the
passenger side seat cushion by pulling up on
the strap loop at the rear of the seat cushion
and fold the seat cushion forward. Then fold
the seatback forward. See

1. 2. Place the child restraint in the center seating
position.
1. 3. Find the top tether anchor at the rear base of
the center seat.
1. 4. Route and attach, but do not tighten, the top
tether according to your child restraint
instructions and the following instructions:
If your child restraint has
a single tether, route the
tether over the seatback.
If your child restraint has
a dual tether, route the
tether over the seatback.
