Moving the seBastian II
The push handle must be used for moving and
maneuvering the seBastian II.
Think about your posture:
•
Walk behind the lift when pushing straight
ahead.
•
Start moving the lift by using your own body
weight as much as possible.
• Keep your back as straight as possible.
• When you need to make a turn, keep one
hand on the push handle and use your other
hand to slightly push against the lift arm.
Standing up
To support the client in standing up using the
sit-to-stand lift, the following steps are recom
-
mended:
1.
Lower the lift arm as much as possible (lift
arm button, make sure it does not touch
the client)
2.
Make sure that the client is in a safe, seat-
ed position
3.
Position the sling, Back Belt 25130C,
around the waist of the client
4.
Place the lift around the client's chair so
that the client is able to place his/her feet
on the footplate
5. Lock each of the brakes of the rear two
castors
6. If possible, the client should hold on to the
handles
7.
Adjust the lower leg supports to the cor-
rect height, approximately 2 cm below the
client's knees. If necessary, bring the lift
closer by opening the legs more (button 1
on the hand control).
8. Apply the brakes (see page 19).
