Figure 2-11 shows the board slots. Install Enhanced Central Control Board B (ECCB)
boards in slots 0 and 1, media boards in slots 2 to 8, and the integrated services digital
network (ISDN) board in slot 9.

Take ESD measures.
Boards are susceptible to ESD damage. To protect the boards, observe the following
rules:
− Ground the VP9660 correctly in accordance with the grounding requirements.
− Always wear an ESD wrist strap to protect the boards against ESD during operation.
− Tighten the wrist strap so it is tight against your skin and

− Check that the resistance of the ESD wrist strap is between 0.75 megaohms and 10
megaohms. If the resistance is beyond the range, replace the ESD wrist strap.
