To unpack a carton, perform the following steps:
Step 1
Check the carton details on its label.
Step 2
Cut the packaging strap with diagonal pliers.
Step 3
Use a utility knife to cut the pressure-sensitive tape along the sealing joint on the carton cover.
Do not insert the utility knife too deeply as doing so may scratch the components inside.
Step 4
Open the carton and remove the foam boards.
Step 5
Check whether the items inside the carton are consistent with those on the packing list.
If yes, take out the board bags.
If no, contact the device supplier.
Boards are transported with ESD bags. Pay attention to the following items when unpacking
boards:
Electric circuits are easily damaged by ESD. Wear a properly grounded ESD wrist strap
when handling components such as boards and touch only the edges of the components.
An ESD bag usually has a desiccant inside, which absorbs moisture to keep the bag dry
inside. If you move a board from an environment with a low temperature and dry air to
one with high temperature and humid air, wait for at least 30 minutes before unpacking the
board. Otherwise, moisture will condense on the board surface and damage it.
Step 6
Unpack the board bags.
1.
Check the bags for damage. If any bag is damaged, contact the device provider.
2.
Wear an ESD wrist strap.
3.
Open the bag and check whether the boards inside are damaged. If any board is damaged,
contact the device provider.
Perform either of the following on unpacked boards:
To install the boards immediately, place the boards on the ESD surface to discharge any
buildup of static electricity. Then install the boards.
To install the boards later, repack the boards in their original packaging materials. Then
store them in a cool and dry environment without sunlight or strong electromagnetic
interference.
Step 7
Check the type and quantity of items inside the carton against the packing list.
If the items are consistent with the packing list, accept the items.
If the items are not consistent with the packing list, contact the device supplier.
